PAIN MANAGEMENT
Eliminating root causes
It’s one of the most common ailments of our modern society.
Oftentimes, chronic tension is pain, which is recurring or has already become permanent.
While a common reaction to a variety of pain issues is resignation and simplistic reasoning, like blaming the daily sitting in front of the computer, there are straightforward alternative explanations and solutions. The root causes of tension can be resolved and the pain permanently eliminated using targeted exercises and movements as well as manual body therapy.
The causes of headaches and migraines are as varied as their symptoms.
From bad posture to mechanical blockages to the consequences of stress and lifestyle, there are a wide variety of issues that lead to headaches. The aim is to determine the causes and then work on those specific areas.
Blockages and tension in the body can be resolved through body therapy, and seating and sleeping positions can be corrected and adjusted daily at home, thereby helping to prevent headaches.
Our experience has shown us that most headaches and migraines can be treated very well, leading to a quick and considerable improvement of pain levels and occurrence.
Neck pain counts among the top 3 of everyday complaints.
The issues range from chronically tense neck muscles, reduced mobility, pain, which can radiate into the shoulders and arms to a complete immobility of the neck area due to pain or stiffness.
The neck might not be the source of all the trouble here, but in most cases is only symptomatic for posture or similar troubles in other physical structures like the diaphragm or the thoracic spine.
The neck should be treated in conjunction with the corresponding regions of origin in order to achieve a long-lasting resolution.
This is a movement chain that often shows very localised individual symptoms, the treatment of which in an isolated manner is rarely successful.
Correct knee function is dependent on the proper function and mobility of both hip and feet, so a targeted treatment alone will not lead to sustainable results.
The hip and feet suffer enormously from years if not decades of inertia in this seated society of ours.
Movement restrictions in these joints can lead to problems anywhere in the body, from localised pain in the feet and hip areas to issues in other joints to diverse and often inexplicable nerve and muscle pain.
Here, manual therapy is frequently the crucial step towards a pain-free existence and a long-lasting solution to chronic mobility problems. Correct muscle and movement activations via specific exercises enable the therapy to succeed in the long term.
The shoulder is a very widely manoeuvrable joint, stabilised primarily by muscles and ligaments. It’s therefore one of the areas particularly affected by bad posture.
Constant sitting during the day leads to poor shoulder positions, which initially trigger pain under load or from unusual movements, but in the long term they can lead to deterioration, excessive wear and calcification.
Initially, chronic inflammation as well as pain clusters are noticed, but also frequent paraesthesia – pins and needles – in one or both arms, sometimes at night. This can be resolved relatively easily through manual therapy by realigning the shoulder to mobilise it and resolve the pain.
Chronic and acute pain in elbow (i. e. golf, mouse or tennis elbow) and hand (i. e. carpal tunnel syndrome) can be caused by joint blockages directly, but most of the time, their root cause sits in the neck, thoracic spine and shoulder girdle.
Here again, a holistic approach is essential for a long-term resolution.
